Hailing from just outside Birmingham and living and working in Sussex for the last 6 years, the Head Chef of Matt Gillan’s acclaimed restaurant Heritage is kicking off our Guest Chef series here at Tern.
Previous roles for Sam include Sous Chef to renowned Michelin starred chef Steve Drake at Sorrel Restaurant in Dorking and Sous Chef to Horshams greatly missed Restaurant Tristan headed up by Tristan Mason.
Sam’s been a chef for 15 years, has an excellent fine dining background, has held 3 rosettes himself and been the right hand man for two different Michelin star chefs for a number of years. Now wanting to carve a path for himself in Sussex. Sam’s passion for modern, seasonal food, keen eye for detail and flair for creativity make him the perfect chef to start off what’s set to become recurring evenings bringing different chefs to Tern.
